Interim Commercial Manager within a £70M defence and nuclear engineering business

Achievements:

  • Developed complex commercial claim for a polar crane refurbishment

  • Created claim value (£300k), sufficient to offset contractor counter claim – claims later settled

As Interim Commercial Manager for a highly specialist nuclear power equipment contractor, I developed a £300k claim for a nuclear polar crane contract refurbishment, developed the commercial position (from incomplete records), negotiated with principal contractor and settled claims with subcontractors.

The overall settlement was cash neutral, the best result that could have been reasonably expected.
